The Housing Authority of Paducah is looking for motivated individuals to join our Maintenance Division as General Laborers / Maintenance Technicians. ?ï¸ What You'll Be Doing
- Sweeping, mopping, and clearing debris to prep units for restoration.
- Lending a hand with fixing fixtures, appliances, drywall, and other surfaces.
- Keeping our tools, materials, and work vehicles organized and ready to go.
- Safely loading, unloading, and transporting supplies and equipment to and from job sites.
- Handling tasks like changing light bulbs, hanging blinds, replacing outlet covers, and installing basic hardware.
- Always wearing proper safety gear (PPE) and following safety protocols.
- Working alongside experienced technicians and supervisors who are committed to training you.
Requirements
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and work in confined spaces
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Exposure to construction-related environmental conditions
Work Environment
- Exposure to moderate construction-related risks
- Mechanical, electrical, chemical, and environmental hazards
- Use of required safety gear and protective equipment
Employment Terms
- Seasonal appointment not to exceed nine (9) months
- May require alternate schedules or emergency response
- Work performed under general supervision
