About The Role

We provide our clients with a comprehensive view of cybersecurity and privacy consulting that leverages our integrated suite of services, including privacy program development, regulatory compliance, data protection assessments, incident response, and cyber risk management across all major markets around the world.

We are currently looking for a driven Consultant to join our Privacy team within the Cybersecurity practice. This person will primarily support client teams in the execution of various privacy and cybersecurity consulting engagements simultaneously, across all different service areas, including privacy risk assessments, regulatory compliance, data governance, policy development, and the hands-on configuration and implementation of privacy management platforms. Activities will also include support with administrative tasks such as updating presentation decks and organizing client documents. Given the diverse nature of the work, we are looking for someone who has flexibility, a go-getter mentality, and is willing to learn and work across different subjects, offerings, and industries, including emerging privacy technologies and tools such as Data Inventory and Mapping solutions, Consent Management Platforms, and Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) systems. This is a very hands-on position, requiring a high level of organization, and technical curiosity.

What You'll Do

In this role, the Intern will develop knowledge of clients' objectives and challenges, as well as the evolving regulatory and threat landscape, to help the client team design privacy strategies and execute program tactics. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

• Assist in the configuration and implementation of privacy management platforms (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc, Ketch) to support the deployment of client-facing privacy program solutions, including Data Inventory and Data Mapping, Consent Management Platforms (CMP), Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) workflows, vendor and third-party risk management portals, and privacy notice and policy management tools;
• Assist in the configuration and implementation of data integrations between third-party systems and centralized cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks
• Assist in the configuration and implementation of data integrations between third-party platforms and centralized cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake and Databricks, enabling organizations to consolidate data from multiple source systems, apply business transformations, and make data available for downstream consumption by analytics and operational pipelines.
• Support the preparation of a variety of client materials (e.g., strategic memos, privacy assessments, presentations, policy and procedure documents, gap analysis reports, regulatory or compliance updates and internal communications content, etc.) in a timely and efficient manner, under the direction of senior team members;
• Follow market and regulatory trends across federal and state privacy law, including developments related to GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other applicable frameworks;
• Organize existing administrative and client materials;
• Assist with ongoing program measurement and progress report development;
• Deliver high-quality work focused on client needs;
• Demonstrate a high level of integrity and ask the necessary questions to manage firm and client data responsibly.

What You Will Need To Succeed

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer or Privacy Engineering, Data Science, or a related field;
• Research, writing, and editing skills;
• A strong work ethic. A collaborative team player that also has the ability to work independently, take initiative, and set priorities; and
• This role requires travel to clients and FTI offices
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong time and priority management skills and an ability to effectively juggle multiple client projects;
• Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, deadline-oriented dynamic environment with regular change;
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word;
• Familiarity with privacy and cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or GDPR is a plus;
• Experience with data analysis tools or programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, R) is a a plus; and
• Experience with Privacy Management Platforms (e.g., OneTrust, Ketch, Truyo, Osano, etc.) is also a plus.

Compensation

Minimum Pay: $78,500

Maximum Pay: $110,500

Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role. Actual compensation is determined based on a wide array of relevant factors including market considerations, business needs, and an individual's location, skills, level of experience, and qualifications.
