HR Client Relations Consultant (2-Year Contract)

Location: Detroit, MI (Hybrid)

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced HR Client Relations Consultant to serve as a strategic partner between Human Resources and assigned business units. This position works closely with business leaders and HR teams to support organizational goals by delivering comprehensive HR solutions across the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to understand strategic objectives and provide HR guidance that supports business goals.
  • Assess workforce needs and identify the HR implications of business strategies and operational changes.
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence and business leadership to develop and implement effective HR solutions.
  • Support a wide range of HR functions, including:
    • Workforce planning
    • Talent acquisition and staffing
    • Compensation and benefits
    • Employee and labor relations
    • Performance management
    • Learning and employee development
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations, performance concerns, and HR best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, labor agreements, company policies, and ethical standards.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the business, its operations, and strategic priorities.
  • Build trusted relationships with leaders and employees while promoting a positive workplace culture.
  • Collaborate with senior HR professionals on complex employee matters and organizational initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional Human Resources experience.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and labor relations regulations.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting business leaders in an HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, or HR Client Relations capacity.

Compensation

Candidates should be submitted based on experience and qualifications.

Salary Guidance

  • Minimum: $77,000
  • Midpoint: $97,000
  • Maximum: $116,000
