    GOAL:

    Provide leadership and technical assistance for ESC internal staff and school districts by assisting in the development of educational programs in the utilization of technology.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required.
    • Knowledge and Skills of use of technology in the classroom
    • 5 years of teaching experience.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES

    Program Planning/Organizational Skills

    • Research periodicals and journals to keep current with technological trends.
    • Develops objectives to meet needs.
    • Relates component objectives to center-wide goals and demonstrates cooperation with other components.
    • Maintains documentation of component services.
    • Evaluates the extent to which project objectives have been met to determine future direction.

    Fiscal Management

    • Prepare and manage budget consistent with project and Center guidelines.
    • Produces documentation to support expenditure as authorized by the coordinator.
    • Utilizes cost-effective methods of reaching identified objectives.

    Leadership

    • Demonstrates leadership in the infusion of technology into all subject areas and grade levels.
    • Prepares and inspires initiative among program staff.

    Communication Skills

    • Demonstrates good communication techniques and utilizes proper communication channels with clients.
    • Acts as liaison for LEA administration providing updated information on both state and federal levels.
    • Effectively disseminates technology-related information to groups or individuals.

    Consultative and Technical Assistance

    • Demonstrates accessibility through periodic contacts with internal staff and LEAs.
    • Responds to internal staff and LEA's request for assistance through workshops and other services including follow-up services and training.
    • Assists internal staff and LEAs in the selection of programs to meet needs.
    • Plans and provides training in current educational practices or skills related to technology.
    • Assists internal staff and school districts in the implementation of programs or innovative practices.
    • Assists Center in the ongoing implementation and updating of their comprehensive plan for technology.
    • Assists internal staff in the evaluation, acquisition, utilization, and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
    • Assists in the development and selection of technology bids.

    Human Relations

    • Demonstrates professional courtesy during personal interaction with LEA and Center staff.
    • Displays an attitude of personal and professional concern in group and individual settings.

    Specialized Knowledge

    • Seeks training in professional areas and provides up-to-date information in areas of responsibility.
    • Recommends and prepares effective in-service and instructional resources for staff and clients.

    Personal and Professional Image

    • Maintains self-control and good working relations with other staff or LEA personnel when facing problems and frustrations.
    • Exhibits enthusiasm, self-motivation, and physical appearance toward fulfilling job assignment requirements.
