The Consulting BizTalk Engineer in the HIS Solutions department is responsible for leading development efforts, driving adoption and appropriate use of technology and consulting on internal and external development efforts to ensure code quality and sound architecture.
This role will focus on maintaining and enhancing our existing BizTalk-based integration platform while leading the strategic transition to Azure Integration Services, including Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, and Azure Data Factory. This position assumes the responsibility for project success and the upward development of team members.
The ideal candidate combines deep integration expertise with a forward-looking mindset, capable of designing scalable, cloud-native solutions and guiding modernization efforts.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
This position requires:
Design, develop, and support enterprise integration solutions using BizTalk Server and Azure Integration Services.
Lead and contribute to the migration of legacy BizTalk solutions to Azure (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, API Management, Data Factory)
Take a lead role on development teams, providing guidance on software architecture, design decisions, and mentoring.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into integration designs.
Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for provisioning Azure resources
Use GitHub for source control, branching strategies, and collaboration across integration projects
Experience with Rules processing engines or algorithms.
Agile/Scrum software development methodology and related tools such as continuous integration, release management, and work tracking.
Ensures development and service delivery of all products, services, and resources within the Revenue Cycle area. This includes responsibility for ensuring the appropriate level of support for the ongoing functionality of the systems.

Ensure integrations meet security, scalability, reliability, and performance standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across both BizTalk and Azure platforms.
Able to effectively communicate with a wide audience of technical and non-technical stakeholders, product owners, and other business groups.
Possess strong hands-on experience with BizTalk Server and experience with Azure integration services. for building, testing, deploying, and managing applications and services.
General Responsibilities:
Developing schemas, maps, orchestrations, pipelines, custom pipeline components.
Implementing and configuring various out-of-the-box BizTalk adapters and accelerators such as HL7, EDI
Extensive SQL Server experience in writing T-SQL, stored procedures, views, archival strategy etc.
Proficiency in .NET / C#, REST APIs, and messaging patterns.
Understanding and development with rules engines.
Experience with XML, XSLT, JSON, and data transformation techniques
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree - Required
EXPERIENCE
7 or more years of experience with enterprise integration software development, architecture and delivery - Required
Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES
Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect)-
Preferred
Thorough understanding of SDLC and application development with iterative methodologies in an Agile environment Required & include:
