Summer Thornton Design is looking for a highly creative Content Creator & Social Media Manager to bring our interiors, projects, process, and POV to life across digital & social platforms.This role is ideal for someone who has exceptionally strong aesthetic skills, thinks in series, storylines, captions, covers, and scroll-stopping visuals, and is also passionate about interior design & architecture. We are looking for someone who is energized by the day-to-day rhythm of working in a creative studio & can be present in-office, notice what is happening in real time, and turn everyday moments in-studio – design meetings, sample reviews, vendor visits, installs, project updates, team conversations, and behind-the-scenes moments – into beautifully captured & compelling content that gives our audience a peek behind the curtain of how we make magic for our clients.You should also be able to look through a folder of project photos, install clips, press features, iPhone videos, or past assets and quickly identify fresh ideas, edit them into engaging posts, and package them in a way that feels elevated, thoughtful, and true to the Summer Thornton brand personality.The right person has strong aesthetic taste, sharp social instincts, excellent organization, and the ability to both dream up creative ideas and execute them. You should be comfortable personally filming, capturing, editing, and sharing behind-the-scenes moments, short-form video, building carousels, writing captions, maintaining a content calendar, and growing the brand across Instagram, Pinterest, email, ST website, Youtube, and beyond.Primary Responsibilities Identify and capture real-time content opportunities in the ST Design office/studio & at project sites, including design meetings, vendor visits, sample reviews, project work, team moments, site visits, installs, photoshoots, and day-to-day creative processFilm the Summer Thornton team and turn behind-the-scenes / making-of moments into professional, engaging social contentDevelop and execute fresh content ideas, hooks, series, and storylines across Instagram, Pinterest, email, website, blog, and other digital platformsReview existing photography, video, project imagery, install footage, press, and behind-the-scenes assets to identify new content opportunitiesPersonally create, edit, and package short-form videos, carousels, stories, graphics, captions, covers, newsletters, and website contentBuild and maintain a content calendar and consistent publishing scheduleRepurpose strong content across platforms, including turning social posts into blog, email, Pinterest, and website contentWrite strong hooks, captions, titles, covers, story copy, newsletter copy, and light website/blog copyTrack content performance and recommend what to repeat, refine, or retireUpdate the website through Squarespace, including project imagery, press articles, blog posts, and other contentSupport broader marketing efforts including press, photoshoot, editor, influencer, partnership, and imagery requestsEstablish & build relationships with key influencers & brands in the social media space for crosspromotion, partnership, & brand-building opportunitiesDevelop strategies & tactics to maximize online sharing of Summer Thornton contentCoordinate with outside editors, writers, photographers, and videographers as neededMay require occasional out-of-state travel for progress site visits, installs, photoshoots, or project and/or Principal designer related content captureWhat You Bring A deep understanding of Instagram, Reels, Stories, Pinterest, Youtube, email, and emerging content trendsStrong taste and visual judgment, especially around interiors, color, styling, framing, and compositionExcellent editing instincts, including pacing, music selection, titles, covers, and hooksAbility to turn both live studio moments and existing asset folders into compelling content ideasComfort filming in real time and capturing people, process, details, and behind-the-scenes momentsStrong writing skills for captions, newsletters, story copy, and light website/blog contentExcellent organization and follow-through, including maintaining calendars, naming files, tracking assets, and meeting deadlinesAbility to work independently, pitch ideas proactively, and execute without waiting for step-by-step directionThis role is a Full-Time in-person position in our Lincoln Park (Chicago) office.Send resume, creative portfolio, pay requirements & references to: careers@summerthorntondesign.com#J-18808-Ljbffr
