Wylander, a recruiting company specializing in the disaster restoration industry, is recruiting a Contents Crew Chief for a company located in Bolingbrook, IL.

Contents Crew Chief – Compensation & Benefits

• Pay- $30.00-$35.00/ hr (DOE)

As a Contents Crew Chief, you will play a key role in restoring customers' personal belongings following fire, water, mold, storm, or other property damage. You will lead and work alongside a team responsible for inventorying, packing, cleaning, transporting, and restoring contents while ensuring they are handled with care and professionalism. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service during challenging situations.

Contents Crew Chief Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise Contents Technicians on restoration projects.
• Inventory, pack, label, transport, and unpack customers' belongings safely and accurately.
• Clean, deodorize, sanitize, and restore contents damaged by fire, water, mold, smoke, or other losses.
• Ensure accurate documentation, inventory records, and job notes are completed.
• Communicate professionally with customers, insurance adjusters, and team members.
• Train, coach, and support team members while maintaining quality and productivity.
• Load, unload, and safely transport contents using company vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA and company safety standards.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and customer satisfaction are achieved.
• Respond to emergency restoration calls and perform other duties as assigned to support operations.

Contents Crew Chief Requirements:

• 5-10 years in a Crew Chief Lead role
• High School (or GED) Diploma
• Required certifications of IICRC, WRT/ASD and AMRT
• Required experience in fire, smoke and odor remediation
• Required experience in I-Cat and Contents Track Software
• Ability to recognize and solve problems independently
• Strong communication skills
• Team Player
• Service-Oriented
