This is an exempt (salary) position
Pay rates are based on education, skill, experience level and internal equity. Internal equity considerations include an assessment of the applicant's salary history and qualifications in comparison to the market rate and requirements for the job
This role is on-site 5 days a week.
This role is grant funded through November 30th 2027, with possibility of extension based on available funding.

Position Summary
As part of the Health Communications Program, this position will create, evaluate and refine internal and external messaging for all divisions/programs/teams/initiatives within Mecklenburg County Public Health.
This position works independently and is responsible for managing projects, analyzing processes and procedures, recommending necessary adjustments, and responding to requests from internal clients.
The ideal candidate will possess strong oral and written communications skills and must demonstrate proficiency in digital content management. Experience with web-based collaborative platforms, communications software, design software, and content management platforms is required.
Essential Functions
Conducts research and analysis and advises management of results
Recommends necessary adjustments to department procedures
Works under the guidance of department management on strategic projects to include assisting in the establishment of goals and objectives
Responds to requests from State, County, local municipality government, external partners or community stakeholders as well as from intra-departmental clients
Manages various projects aligned with Strategic Business Plan goals
Gathers and organizes information about the problem to be solved or the procedure to be improved
Interviews personnel and conducts on-site observations to determine the methods, equipment, and personnel that will be needed
Analyzes financial and other data; including, but not limited to, user analytics
Develops solutions or alternative practices
Recommends new systems, procedures, or organizational changes
Makes recommendations to management through presentations or written reports
Confers with managers to ensure that the changes are successfully implemented and creating positive results
Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a related field.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Licenses and Certifications:
May require a valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver's License
May require County Driving Privileges

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat
Familiarity with Drupal or similar content management platform
