Evaluate content to establish standardized labels across product lines and families.  Analyze and implement a consistent approach to template and labeling design/execution in a component content management platform.
 
Essential Job Functions
  1. Create and execute labeling content and detailed illustrations in diverse language sets. Analyze existing content for labeling creation and usage within content management system (CMS) and Edwards’ global labeling system software in compliance with Edwards labeling standards and procedures.
  1. Analyze and evaluate the approach for implementing redlined text and graphics for labeling. Evaluate the risks of labeling issues associated with design
  1. Serve technical expert for moderately complex labeling graphic and artwork activities by identifying, defining and implementing process improvement solutions.
  1. Manage updates to global labeling standards/ procedures/ step guides, training plans, process improvements and assigned deliverables via ECR and PDM processes.
  1. Reformat damaged or lost labeling. Manage native and distributed artwork and illustration files within PDM and other locations.
Marginal Job Functions
  1. Other incidental duties: Training new graphic specialists. Work with suppliers to implement software and system updates. Assist with corrective actions associated with labeling development
 
  • Bachelor's Degree in graphic design, desktop publishing, and computer generated labels or related field required
  • 3 years of related experience in the labeling or graphics industry required; Must have XML experience, DITA is a plus, Component Content Management System (CCMS) preferred
  • Good computer skills including usage of MS Office Suite and proficiency in InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, QuarkXPress and Adobe Illustrator on the Macintosh or PC platforms required; experience with CAD and ProE preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills
  • Good problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Good leadership skills
  • Experience managing tasks of projects
  • Moderate understanding of domestic and global development and implementation of labeling
  • Moderate understanding of medical and/or pharmaceutical regulations and standards
  • Moderate knowledge of FDA regulations in relations to labeling and documentation
  • Moderate knowledge of medical device documentation development activities
  • Knowledge of ECR and PDM processes
  • Good computer skills including usage of MS Office Suite
  • Good problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Basic project management skills
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships
