    Description

    We"re looking for a Social Content Manager to join the Owned and Influencer team at Whole Foods Market. This role focuses on developing and executing lifestyle-driven, long-form editorial content that positions Whole Foods Market as a lifestyle brand and cultural force - in close collaboration with our Brand Engagement, Creative, and Production teams.

    The ideal candidate is a gifted writer and storyteller with a deep understanding of food culture, wellness trends, and the lifestyle media landscape who can translate brand values into compelling narratives that make people want to be part of the Whole Foods community.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Long-Form Content: Lead the editorial content creation for our Substack channel in partnership with Brand Engagement, developing a consistent publishing cadence of engaging, relevant long-form content that builds community and deepens brand affinity
    • YouTube & Long-Form Storytelling: Collaborate with Production and Creative to develop and execute long-form video storytelling, bringing lifestyle narratives to life through compelling, watch-worthy content that grows our subscriber base
    • Pinterest Strategy: Partner with Creative to develop and manage content for Pinterest, creating visually compelling, search-optimized pins and boards that drive discovery
    • Lifestyle Channel Support: Contribute content across additional lifestyle-oriented social channels, working with the broader team to ensure a cohesive brand voice
    • Editorial Voice & Brand Storytelling: Serve as a key voice for the brand"s social editorial presence, collaborating with Brand Engagement to craft stories that celebrate food while weaving in trends and product discovery to inspire audiences organically
    • Content Calendar & Planning: Partner with the broader Social, Brand Engagement, and Creative teams to plan and maintain an editorial calendar
    • Performance & Optimization: Track content performance, identify trends, and iterate on strategy to grow
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a connective thread across Creative, Production, Brand Engagement

    A day in the life

    You"ll spend your day translating our strategy into a content plan for our social media platforms, most notably Substack, YouTube, and Pinterest. Responsible for drafting our brand voice into compelling narratives while working collaboratively across teams

    You"ll join Whole Foods Market"s Social Media & Influencer Marketing team as Content Marketing Manager, reporting to the Head of Owned & Influencer leading the Content function collaborating daily to build the WFM voice on social media.
