Content Operations & Enablement Manager

Russell Tobin is partnering with a top pharmaceutical/biotechnology organization to identify a Sr. Operations Manager - Content Excellence for a hybrid opportunity near South San Francisco CA.
 
Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver learning journeys, training, and enablement programs to onboard and upskill teams on new content capabilities, tools, and guidelines.
• Lead end-to-end content operations and workflow governance, ensuring alignment across cross-functional stakeholders.
• Identify process bottlenecks and implement scalable workflow and asset-management improvements to increase efficiency and speed-to-market.
• Facilitate operational forums, review sessions, and stakeholder meetings, translating strategic requirements into clear action plans.
• Drive change management and adoption of new content tools, processes, guidelines, and modern capabilities, including generative AI.
• Partner with Creative, Marketing, Legal/Regulatory, and executive stakeholders to drive alignment and consensus without direct authority.
• Monitor operational performance, asset utilization, and workflow throughput to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

 
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5–7 years of experience in content operations, marketing operations, creative project management, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end content workflows, digital asset management systems, and multi-channel campaign operations.
• Strong content governance, project management, and operational process skills.
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments and translate strategic marketing priorities into tactical execution.

 
Preferred:

• Experience with CMS and DAM platforms, such as Veeva Vault or Adobe Experience Manager, preferred.
• Pharmaceutical or biotechnology commercial marketing experience, including MLR/PRC review processes, preferred.
• Experience with Agile marketing methodologies, creative agency workflows, and modern content capabilities, including AI tools, preferred.

 
Additional Details:

• Location model: South San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)
• Position Type: 6-month contract (potential to extend)
• Working model: Hybrid 3 days onsite (anchor days Tues & Wed)
• Pay range approved: $50/hr - $62.50/hr (depending on experience)
