    Content Product Lead (Director) 

    Role Purpose 

    The Content Product Lead (Director) sets the content product vision and multi-year strategy for USBU & OBU, ensuring Takeda’s content ecosystem enables content-centric, compliant, reusable components, and insight-driven personalized engagement at scale. This role is the enterprise-facing content product authority for USBU & OBU—owning strategy, governance, operating model, and roadmap execution across core content platforms and processes (e.g., Veeva Vault/PromoMats, Aprimo/DAM, modular content enablement, taxonomy/tagging, content analytics). 

    Scope & Leadership Expectations  

    • Owns a US digital content product portfolio spanning multiple brands, channels, and regulated workflows. 

    • Owns DD&T accountability for cross-functional governance and drives DD&T prioritization across stakeholders (Marketing, Medical, Regulatory, agencies, delivery partners). 

     

    • Influences enterprise alignment with CEE / Global DD&T and shared platform teams through strategy, standards, and outcomes. 

    Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities 

    • Content Product Strategy & Vision (US): Define the target-state content technology capability model and multi-year roadmap aligned to marketing strategy and DD&T enterprise standards. 

    • Portfolio Ownership & Prioritization: Own prioritization across US content initiatives (platform enhancements, technology modernization, modular content maturity), balancing brand demand, compliance risk, scalability, and ROI; shape sequencing for investment planning. 

    • Leads DD&T accountability for the operating model and governance within the cross-functional team, partnering to establish and chair governance for content standards, taxonomy/tagging policies, modular content rules, reuse expectations, and analytics instrumentation to ensure consistency across US brands and agencies. 

     

    • End-to-End Content Supply Chain Technology Enablement: Drive content lifecycle technology optimization supporting creation through approval, storage, reuse, and activation—ensuring content is “orchestration-ready” for omnichannel execution. 

    • MLR Enablement & Workflow Automation: Partner with Marketing/Medical/Regulatory to streamline approval workflows and enable audit-ready compliance through automation, standardization, and process discipline. 

    • Content Intelligence & Performance: Define technology to enable content measurement strategy (tagging compliance, quality scorecards).  

    • Enterprise Alignment & Influence: Serve as the US DD&T content product representative to enterprise/platform teams; shape shared capability roadmaps and ensure US needs are reflected in enterprise direction. 

     

    Key Stakeholders 

    USBU MCE and brand/content leaders, Medical/Regulatory/Legal (MLR), DD&T CEE, Global DD&T platform teams, agencies, delivery partners, analytics/data/architecture partners, Omnichannel and MarTech capability leads. 

    Qualifications / Experience 

    • 10+ years in digital content platforms, DAM/content operations, content governance, and/or regulated content lifecycle leadership 

    • Experience with Veeva Vault/PromoMats, DAM, modular content concepts, taxonomy/tagging, and analytics enablement 

    • Proven ability to drive strategy, governance, and adoption in complex, matrixed organizations

    U.S. Base Salary Range:

    $177,000.00 - $278,080.00


    The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

    U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
