This role drives the architecture and integration of scalable, secure, and resilient broadcast and content workflows, ensuring alignment with business, marketing, and entertainment objectives. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams, manages third-party providers, and influences the strategic direction of next-generation broadcast and storage solutions. The position requires deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate enterprise strategy into actionable system designs and roadmaps.ResponsibilitiesArchitect, design, and optimize cloud-native and broadcast systemsDevelop and implement standards, policies, procedures, and documentationMonitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure operational reliabilityCollaborate cross-functionally to enhance workflows and support business goalsManage resources, technology implementations, and third-party partnersBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Broadcast Engineering, or equivalent experience3 years of broadcast or post-production engineering experienceAdvanced knowledge of media workflow and orchestration systems (Telestream Vantage, IBM Aspera, Dalet Galaxy)Strong experience with cloud platforms and services (AWS EC2, S3, Lambda, AWS media services)Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (Python, PowerShell)Experience with on-premises virtualization and storage solutions (VMware, NetApp Storage, Dell EMC Isilon)Familiarity with broadcast hardware (encoders, decoders, video routers)Understanding of live video transport protocols (SRT, RTMP, RTSP, NDI)Familiarity with post-production workflows (transcoding, archiving) and non-linear editing, VFX, and motion graphics software (Adobe Creative Suite, Maxon CINEMA 4D, DaVinci Resolve)Demonstrated ability to design and implement cloud-native and hybrid workflowsStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including Tier 2/3 supportExcellent organization and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing requirementsAbility to work early mornings, late nights, holidays, and weekends as needed for outages and/or maintenance windows, and participate in the department's on-call rotation.Preferred QualificationsProject management experienceExperience negotiating with senior management and customers to influence strategic directionExperience developing and maintaining technical standards and reference architectures.The hiring ranges for this position in various locations are listed below.
