Position is contingent upon contract award

Position Requirements

Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems (U) Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems; Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware; Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems Infrastructure experience installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and using system security (container security, virtual machine security, security boundary enforcement), configuration, and reporting tools. Infrastructure experience with the following tools is strongly preferred: ELK, Tripwire, VMware, RedHat SELinux security tool suite

Basic Requirements

Level 0 requires a degree in a relevant technical field (for example, computer science, mathematics, or physics), entry is with a Bachelors degree plus 1 year of relevant experience. Level 1 requires a Bachelors degree in Engineering plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Masters degree plus 1 year of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree and no experience. Level 2 requires Bachelors degree in Engineering plus 7 years of relevant experience, or a Masters degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree plus 3 years of relevant experience. Level 3 requires a Bachelors degree in Engineering plus 10 years of relevant experience, or a Masters degree plus 8 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree plus 6 years of relevant experience.

Pay Rate Salary range considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
