CONTINUING EDUCATION - TAI CHI INSTRUCTOROLIVE-HARVEY COLLEGEOlive-Harvey College, Continuing Education department is seeking an instructor to teach Tai Chi. If you have a passion for teaching and learning and are committed to the mission of the community college, consider joining our team.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Instructor provides professional, engaging and effective group classes.Provide instruction and coaching to class attendee.Coordinates and prepares music and class routine as necessary.Exercise safety awareness and practices.Follows and enforces department policies, rules and regulations while maintaining a friendly attitude.Strong communication skills to deliver course content.Ensure that the class attendees are satisfied with the lessons.Begin and end class on time.Accurately record class participation and collectparticipants surveys at the end of each class.QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent.Current nationally recognized Tai Chi Certification.One year teaching and/or training experience preferred.Must be able to work with participants individually and in groups, using various demonstrations methods.Must be knowledgeable about the industry with the skills to network, engage and interact with participants.Must communicate professionally and have a positive attitude at all times.Salary: $40.00/hourWe are an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.Thank you for your interest in City Colleges!TBDAdditional Information
