Continuous Improvement Engineer

Location: Cleveland, OH
Description:

A manufacturing facility is looking for a hands‑on Continuous Improvement Engineer to lead efficiency, quality, and safety improvements across production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes and identify improvement opportunities on the floor

• Use CAD tools to optimize layouts and material flow

• Conduct time studies, work sampling, and line balancing

• Lead daily improvement routines and track KPIs

• Drive root‑cause analysis using 5‑Why, Fishbone, and A3

• Develop standard work, visual controls, and documentation

• Build dashboards and reports (Excel, Tableau)

• Support 5S, safety, quality, and cost‑reduction initiatives

• Train teams on continuous improvement methods

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field preferred 

• 3+ years of experience in continuous improvement or industrial engineering in manufacturing 

• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt preferred

• Experience in an industrial environment is preferred (mixing/compounding is a plus)

• Proficiency in Excel and CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)

• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills

• Comfortable working directly on the production floor
