Continuous Improvement Engineer
Salary Up to $150,000 + Bonus + Benefits in NE WA & supports ID/OR/WA
Lead hands-on operational improvement across multiple wood-products mills. Partner with plant leaders to use data, remove bottlenecks, improve reliability and throughput, and build lasting team capability. Need hands-on experience in a wood mill – plywood, EWP, etc. This is not a desk job or computer job. It’s an in plant on the production floor, hands-on equipment, mechanical & electrical aptitude required!
What You’ll Do:
·Drive CI and optimization across sites
·Analyze data, fix bottlenecks, deliver measurable gains
·Develop skills, staffing, and on-floor training
·Mentor teams and support local trainers
·Partner with engineering on process, product mix, and materials
·Contribute to regional strategy and capital decisions
·Conduct practical audits and share best practices
·Coordinate effective use of outside experts
What You Bring:
·Engineering degree or equivalent experience
·Strong analytics and practical problem-solving
·Approachable, credible leadership
·Experience in plywood, EWP, wood / lumber manufacturing.
