Description:Your Impact:

You will be the Continuous Improvement Engineer Senior (Level 3) for the Production Excellence team which is responsible for enhancing producibility, product quality, and process optimization across engineering disciplines.

What You Will Be Doing:

As the Continuous Improvement Engineer Senior (Level 3) you will be responsible for applying Lean Six Sigma techniques, analyzing operational workflows, driving cost‑reduction studies, leading Kaizen events and training, and supporting facility and equipment planning.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Apply Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools to improve production performance and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze sequences of operations, workflow, and equipment layouts to optimize plant utilization and reduce cycle times.
  • Conduct cost‑control and process‑optimization studies, and implement modification plans based on findings.
  • Lead multi‑day Kaizen events, provide continuous‑improvement training, and facilitate A3 problem‑solving teams.
  • Support facility and equipment design, modification, and mistake‑proofing initiatives in partnership with facilities engineers.

You are a results‑driven professional with strong analytical and facilitation skills, a collaborative mindset, and deep expertise in Lean Six Sigma. Your passion for coaching and leadership development helps teams achieve measurable improvements in production and operational processes.

Further Information About This Opportunity:

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

The selected candidate MUST BE ABLE TO obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited college
  • Experience with Data analysis software (MS excel, Minitab, Tableau, Matlab, etc...)
  • Accredited Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Desired Skills:

  • LSS Black Belt certification
  • Project Manager certification
  • 5+ years of Experience with Data analysis software (MS excel, Minitab, Tableau, Matlab, etc...)
  • Masters Degree
  • Experience facilitating Kaizen events

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
