Essential Job Functions : (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
•Guide FI Pillar; lead the cultural shift to prevention based problem solving
•Coach and mentor FI Pillar team to lead pillar work streams in problem solving exercises
•Provides leadership and subject matter expertise to use analytical tools for problem solving (SPC, Data characterization, WHY-WHY, Cause-Effect, etc.).
•Provide support to Pillar Teams by leading SRC, FI 8 Step and mentoring team members to be self-sufficient in these tools
•Maintain triggers for SRC generation and tracks completion for the facility
• Works with teams to generate CCR for the project hopper along with valuation of ideas.
•Builds loss list for the facility and utilizes business objectives to prioritize efforts and work streams to reduce or eliminate losses.
•Develop Process Experts to be FI sponsors on a daily basis
Qualifications:
Education/ Experience/ Skills:
•4 yr. degree in Business Management, Organizational Development, Engineering or other related fields
•Three+ years' experience in Continuous Improvement environment leading, guiding, and mentoring teams and individuals along with practical experience
•Three+ years in facilitating cross-functional teams; overseeing root-cause analysis, data collection, and problem solving utilizing "Why, Why/ How How", Phenomena Thinking, etc.
•Working knowledge of production equipment and systems including maintenance activities.
•Proficient in the use of Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
•Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision.
•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•Ability to manage and prioritize one's own time consistent with the needs of the business
•Excellent communication skills including oral, written and listening.
•Ability to interpret a variety of technical information in mathematical and/or narrative form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Desired Skills/Experience:
•Knowledgeable of FI 8 Step, SRC, Problem Solving Methodologies
•Food experience with baking, dough rheology, processing and packaging.
•Plant manufacturing experience
•Project Management experience
•Knowledge of TPM, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
•Knowledge of FDA policies and procedures
