Continuous/Project Improvement Specialist

As a Continuous/Project Improvement Specialist in the production/manufacturing area, your primary responsibilities will be to support and drive continuous improvement initiatives and provide project management support within the department. This position will partner with department SMEs and cross functional teams to perform analysis to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for optimization. The role blends data analysis, process mapping, change management, and cross functional collaboration to build a culture of ongoing improvement.

Primary responsibilities for role:

Partner with department SMEs (e.g. Sr. Supervisors, TPS, etc.) and cross functional teams, to perform thorough analysis to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for optimization.

Collect, analyze and propose to department management relevant data to measure performance indicators, such as cycle time, yield, quality, and cost.

Propose and manage process improvement initiatives, methodologies, and best practices. This may include process redesign, automation, standardization, and waste reduction.

Maintain project schedules, including list of required deliverables, timeline, resources and driving cross functional team meetings to meet project requirements and execution.

Establish and maintain performance metrics and dashboards to track the effectiveness and impact of improvement initiatives. Regularly report on key performance indicators and present findings to department management, providing insights and recommendations for further improvements.

Assist in developing and delivering training programs to enhance the understanding and adoption of continuous improvement principles and methodologies among employees. Provide guidance and support to team members in implementing improvement projects.

Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in continuous improvement methodologies.

The position requires:

  • Advanced experience with data analysis tools (MS Excel, JMP).
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills.

BS/BA degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of working in operations with experience in continuous improvement and/or project management. Preferred experience in a cGMP, FDA work environment. Preferred knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma tools (Green Belt or Black Belt). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Sr. Continuous/Project Improvement Specialist

As a Sr. Continuous/Project Improvement Specialist in the production/manufacturing area, your primary responsibility will be to support and drive continuous improvement initiatives and provide project management within the organization. This position will play a crucial role in identifying, analyzing, and implementing process enhancements to optimize productivity, quality, and efficiency across the site's operations. The role blends data analysis, process mapping, change management, and cross functional collaboration to build a culture of ongoing improvement.

Primary responsibilities for role:

Must be able to perform all duties of the Continuous/Project Improvement Specialist position.

Regularly report on key performance indicators and project proposals to management and site OPEX, providing insights and recommendations for further improvements.

Collaborate with Finance and site OPEX to develop cost analysis for identified projects.

Lead and facilitate complex cross functional project teams. May use statistical tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and root causes of process variations and issues.

Participate in training programs, workshops, conferences, and professional networks to enhance knowledge and skills.

The position requires the following:

  • Experience with process mapping software and project management tracking (e.g., Visio, MS Project, GANTT).
  • Experience with data analysis tools (MS Excel, JMP).
  • Understanding of quality management systems and operational metrics.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence without authority and drive changes.
