Contract Analyst – Accounting / Manufacturing

A well-established industrial manufacturing company in the Macomb, MI area is currently seeking a Contract Analyst for a Direct Hire opportunity with its growing accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting/finance professional looking for a stable organization offering professional growth, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to work closely with Finance, Operations, Purchasing, and Program Management.

The Contract Analyst will be responsible for cash receipts and reconciliation, project budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis, including accurately posting incoming customer payments and maintaining project budgets within SAP.   

Contract Analyst compensation is anticipated to be competitive and based on each candidate's experience and education. All well-qualified candidates will be considered regardless of pay rate.

Qualified Contract Analysts will have most, if not all, of the following skills and experience:

• 3+ years of recent/relevant accounting, finance, accounts payable/receivable, or related financial experience preferred.
• Experience with cash receipts, bank reconciliations, customer payments, and financial reporting.
• Experience entering and maintaining project budgets and analyzing project financial information.
• Experience with SAP, ERP systems, and computerized accounting systems is highly desirable.   
• Experience preparing weekly/monthly financial reports, forecasts, and account reconciliations.
• Manufacturing or industrial accounting experience is a strong plus.
• Strong Excel, analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent accounting/finance experience will be strongly considered. The client prefers approximately 3–6 years of related experience.   
• Must be able to work in the United States (no H-1 sponsorship or student visas considered).
• Must be able to complete standard pre-hire checks including background, drug screen, references, etc.
