Position Summary
FlexTG is seeking a detail-oriented Contract Billing Specialist to manage contract setup, billing accuracy, and ongoing account support for an assigned portfolio.
In this role, you’ll ensure timely and accurate billing, maintain contract data, and proactively identify and resolve discrepancies. You’ll work closely with internal teams, financial partners, and customers to support billing operations and deliver a high level of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage billing for assigned contracts, including base billing, usage billing, and meter readings
- Maintain and update contract records, including revisions, adjustments, and expiration dates
- Set up and maintain contract records in ERP systems
- Perform billing audits and health checks to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Investigate and resolve billing and invoicing issues; recommend process improvements
- Collaborate with financial partners and banks on bundled billing, allocations, and corrections
- Create and maintain invoice templates and supporting billing documentation
- Assist with billing inquiries and escalations via email and phone
- Partner with AR/Collections teams to resolve customer disputes and apply credits
- Monitor aged invoices, meter health reports, and billing discrepancies
- Manage contract terminations, credit carry forward (CCF), and underage adjustments
- Maintain accurate account profiles and billing documentation
- Support onboarding of new customer accounts and internal rollouts
- Contribute to process improvements and documentation of billing procedures
Performance Expectations
- Maintain billing within a 7-day tolerance of due dates
- Respond to billing inquiries within 24 hours
- Ensure timely setup of new customer contracts
- Complete contract revisions prior to billing cycles
- Meet or exceed monthly KPIs
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (some college or equivalent experience preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in billing, administrative, or customer service roles
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving and investigative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (formulas, reporting, data analysis)
- Experience with ERP or billing systems
- Experience with contract billing, leasing, or financial partners
- Familiarity with MS Access or similar tools
