Job Summary: The Buyer I is responsible for issuing purchase orders and supporting the negotiation and administration of low-risk procurement contracts, primarily in support of marketing and agency related services. This role partners with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure purchases meet cost, quality, timeline, and compliance expectations.

Description of Duties:

  • Conducts competitive bids and purchases low risk, standard goods and services.
  • With oversight, reviews, administers, and assists in negotiating standard business terms and procurement contracts that are lower in risk and complexity.
  • With oversight, analyzes bid offers, and may recommend award.
  • Provides cost and lead time information to the business.
  • Makes purchases by processing and issuing purchase orders, efficiently manages and administers open orders, and contributes to resolution of invoice discrepancies.
  • Helps develop and implement purchasing strategies for assigned marketing and agency services categories.
  • Collaborates with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure that purchases meet expectations and requirements.
  • Assists with testing of systems and processes as needed.
Summary of Requirements:
  • Minimum of one to three (1-3) years of purchasing or related experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of purchasing, contracting, receiving, and/or logistics preferred.
  • Intermediate MS Excel and Word, and basic Power Point required.
  • Prior experience working with an ERP system preferred (i.e. Oracle, SAP).
  • Knowledge of Nintendo products is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States to be considered. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

This position is HYBRID in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.

This contract position includes the base pay range listed below and is eligible for benefits through the employing agency. Agency benefits include eligibility for medical insurance, employee assistance program, and paid sick leave. All benefits are subject to elections, eligibility requirements, plan and program terms. Benefits offerings will be confirmed at the time of offer by the employing agency, and may differ depending on the employing agency partner.

Pay range:

$38-$58 USD
