    Description

Temporary Chief Financial Officer + Construction & Property Services + Omaha

If you're a strategic finance executive who enjoys building, improving, and scaling organizations, not just maintaining them, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for. Our client is a rapidly growing, multi-entity organization. As the Temporary Chief Financial Officer, you'll serve as a member of the executive leadership team, partnering closely with ownership and senior leadership to drive long-term success. This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on executive who is equally comfortable developing strategy, improving financial operations, and helping guide an organization through meaningful transformation.

    What You'll Do

    • Provide strategic financial leadership for a growing multi-entity organization.
    • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and long-range financial planning.
    • Strengthen financial reporting, internal controls, and operational visibility across multiple business units.
    • Partner with executive leadership to improve profitability and support informed business decisions.
    • Help optimize the company's capital structure and banking relationships.
    • Support corporate tax strategy, financial compliance, and complex multi-state sales tax environments.
    • Play a key role in ERP implementation and financial systems improvements, including an upcoming NetSuite conversion.
    • Evaluate and support acquisition opportunities as the company executes its long-term growth strategy.
    • Build, mentor, and stabilize the accounting and finance team while creating a collaborative, high-performing culture.
    • Work cross-functionally with operational leaders to improve communication, accountability, and financial performance.

    What They're Looking For

    Required Qualifications

    • Executive-level finance leadership experience.
    • Multi-entity accounting and financial management experience.
    • Background leading finance within a complex, high-growth organization.
    • Strong forecasting, financial planning, and cash management expertise.
    • Experience developing teams and leading through organizational change.
    • Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve quickly.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • CPA designation.
    • Experience with mergers and acquisitions.
    • Experience leading ERP implementations, particularly NetSuite.

    Why This Opportunity Stands Out

    • Executive leadership position with significant influence on company strategy.
    • Opportunity to help shape the future of a rapidly growing organization.
    • Lead a finance transformation, including systems modernization and organizational development.
    • Play a key role in future acquisition activity and long-term expansion plans.
    • Join an organization investing heavily in its next phase of growth with ambitious goals for the future.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a CFO who enjoys solving complex business challenges, building strong teams, and partnering with leadership to create lasting organizational success.
