    ** Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Contract Coordinator to fill a four-month contract assignment in the Valdosta, GA area.


    This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.

    Job Title: Contract Coordinator 2 

    Work Location: Valdosta, GA 

    Requirements:

    Required PPE: Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Boots, Traffic Vest

    Job Summary:

    This position reports to the Distribution Construction Supervisor and is responsible for contract crews performing overhead/underground new construction, maintenance trouble calls, and storm response. This position is also responsible for overhead re-conducting, cable replacement, storm duty, the safety of service crews and their performance in.

    Work Schedule:
    • Monday through Thursday, 4-10-hour workdays.
    • Additional hours may be required for planned and scheduled outages to meet the customer’s needs, which include working evenings, weekends and holidays
    • Available for Storm Duty
    • This job will require an alternate work schedule to accomplish the listed responsibilities

    Experience Requirements:
    • Extensive Distribution engineering and/or construction experience required: Maintenance, Overhead, and Underground construction knowledge.
    • Seven Years Distribution Experience
    • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel), Distribution Viewer, ARMS, CSS, TCMS and JETS preferred
    • Ability to analyze drawings, blueprints, specifications, proposals, and project documentation
    • Demonstrated Safety Excellence

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Ability to manage contractors
    • Proven negotiation skills
    • Ability to learn the contracts and enforce them
    • Ability to effectively interact face to face with Customers, Developers, Builders, and Communication Companies
    • Ability to motivate and influence others to get work completed
    • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks over a large territory
    • Ability to schedule and prioritize work
    • Ability to set clear expectations and deliver results within a deadline
    • Ability to solve problems and remove barriers
    • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
    • Proven decision-making abilities

    To be effective in this position, the incumbent must work well with and communicate with Engineering and other departments, internal and external customers, builders, developers, electricians, claims, etc.
