Job Requirements

Education Requirements:

  • Completion of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma or equivalent accredited program

Certifications Requirements:

  • Valid BLS certification
  • Valid IV therapy certification
  • Valid Licensed Practical Nurse license in Idaho

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of LPN experience in long-term care or similar setting
  • Experience with night shift scheduling preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage patient care independently

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to rotating weekends and varied schedules

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate and competent patient care during night shift hours (7 PM – 7 AM) in a long-term care setting
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient conditions, treatments, and progress in electronic medical records (EMR) system
  • Execute medical procedures such as IV therapy, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring according to facility protocols
  • Support patient safety and comfort by promptly responding to alarms, calls, and changing patient needs
