We are seeking a dependable and skilled contract Maintenance Technician to support facility operations and ensure our campus remains safe and well-maintained.Position SummaryThe Contract Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance and repair services on an as-needed basis. This independent contractor role requires a skilled professional capable of handling a wide range of facility maintenance tasks efficiently and safely.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and repairs (windows, doors, walls, etc.)Repair plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and fixturesTroubleshoot and repair basic electrical issuesMaintain HVAC systems to ensure proper operationIdentify and resolve safety hazardsPerform preventative maintenance tasksPaint and maintain facility appearance as neededAssist with groundskeeping and outdoor maintenanceComplete additional tasks as requestedQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferredDemonstrated experience in maintenance, facilities, or related fieldWorking knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentryAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsReliable transportation and necessary tools/equipment preferredAbility to perform physically active workContract RequirementsMust operate as an independent contractor and not as an employee of Hendrick Home for ChildrenResponsible for own taxes, insurance, and required licensing (if applicable)Must provide proof of liability insurance upon requestPre-Engagement RequirementsAll selected contractors must successfully complete a screening process prior to engagement.
