Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc) is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a contract opportunity based in Woodland Hills, California.


Schedule: 8-hour Day Shift (may include Saturdays)

Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks

Location: Woodland Hills, CA

Compensation:

Hourly Rate:$37.00 – $42.00 per hour

Summary:

HCEPInc is seeking an experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a collaborative inpatient rehabilitation team in Woodland Hills, California. This opportunity is ideal for a compassionate clinician who is dedicated to helping patients regain independence and improve their ability to perform activities of daily living in an acute care setting.

The ideal candidate will have recent inpatient experience, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Essential Functions:

Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.

Assist patients with therapeutic activities designed to improve functional mobility, self-care, activities of daily living (ADLs), upper extremity function, and overall independence.

Implement individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress toward established goals.

Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques, home exercise programs, and the safe use of assistive equipment.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care teams to support optimal patient outcomes.

Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care recommendations.

Maintain a safe treatment environment while adhering to infection prevention and patient safety standards.

Practice Setting:

Inpatient Rehabilitation

Acute Care Hospital

Collaborative Multidisciplinary Care Team

Day Shift Coverage (may include Saturdays)

Qualifications:

Current California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License required.

Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Minimum of two (2) years of inpatient Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required.

Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills required.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient healthcare environment.
