Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Transactional Paralegals to support a leading law firm client on a temporary basis. This role will assist attorneys with a variety of corporate and transactional matters, with a preference for candidates who have exposure to real estate transactions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced law firm environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support attorneys in all phases of transactional matters
• Prepare, review, organize, and maintain transaction-related documentation
• Assist with due diligence, document management, and closing activities
• Coordinate signature collection and execution of legal documents
• Track transaction milestones, deadlines, and deliverables
• Manage electronic and physical deal files
• Conduct legal, corporate, and property-related research as needed
• Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and internal stakeholders
• Provide administrative and project support for multiple ongoing matters

Qualifications

• 3+ years of transactional paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
• Experience supporting corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, or other commercial matters
• Real estate transaction experience preferred
• Strong document management and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Paralegal certificate preferred but not required

Work Arrangement

• Onsite in New York City Monday through Friday
• Immediate availability preferred

Ideal Candidate

• Prior law firm experience
• Experience supporting high-volume transactional practices
• Comfortable working independently while managing multiple matters simultaneously

The Compensation range for this role is $30.00 to 40.00 hourly. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.

Your specific salary will be determined based on several factors:

  • Location-based market rate for the role

  • Your abilities in relation to the job specification

  • Performance during screening and interview

  • Pay parity with the wider team in the considered location
