Contract Recruiter - Engineering
Location: Hybrid - Elizabeth, NJ

Overview
Seeking an experienced Contract Recruiter with a strong background in Engineering recruiting to support high-volume and specialized hiring needs. This role requires a hands-on sourcer and full-cycle recruiter who can move quickly, engage top technical talent, and partner effectively with hiring managers. Experience recruiting within the port or maritime industry is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle recruiting for Engineering roles, from intake through offer
Proactively source candidates using LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and direct outreach
Screen and qualify engineering talent for technical fit, experience, and cultural alignment
Partner closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements and hiring priorities
Coordinate interviews, provide candidate feedback, and manage candidate communications
Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of candidates throughout the recruitment process
Support urgent and time-sensitive hiring needs in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
Proven experience recruiting for Engineering roles (mechanical, electrical, civil, industrial, or related disciplines)
Strong sourcing capabilities; must be comfortable with proactive outreach and pipeline building
Experience working as a contract or agency recruiter preferred
Ability to operate independently and hit the ground running
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Port, maritime, logistics, or industrial industry experience a plus
