Our client is seeking one or two Reservoir Simulation Engineers to support a cutting-edge R&D program focused on chemical composition and subsurface reservoir modeling. This role combines reservoir engineering with advanced simulation techniques to evaluate fluid behavior and optimize research outcomes.
Candidates should have practical experience using reservoir simulation software in applied engineering environments.
Responsibilities
Build and execute reservoir simulation models using CMG STARS.
Perform molecular dynamics and materials simulations using LAMMPS.
Analyze reservoir behavior, fluid interactions, and chemical performance.
Support research involving enhanced recovery processes and complex fluid systems.
Interpret simulation results and provide technical recommendations.
Work closely with process engineers, researchers, and technical leadership.
Prepare technical documentation and communicate findings to project stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
Practical experience with CMG STARS reservoir simulation software.
Experience using LAMMPS for molecular dynamics simulations.
Strong understanding of reservoir engineering fundamentals.
Experience interpreting and validating simulation data.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting R&D or technology development projects.
Knowledge of fluid characterization and chemical composition modeling.
Experience with thermal recovery, enhanced oil recovery (EOR), or unconventional reservoirs.
Programming or scripting experience (Python or MATLAB) is a plus.
