Job Requirements

Education Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program or equivalent.

Certifications Requirements:

  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • CRT or RRT credential.
  • Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of pulmonary therapy experience.
  • Proficiency with Updraft Therapy and Blood gases.
  • Experience operating ventilators, BIPAP/CPAP, and performing EKGs.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and be comfortable being the sole RT if needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Physical ability to perform shift duties, including handling emergency clinical situations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory therapy treatments, including Updraft Therapy and administration of Blood gases.
  • Operate and monitor ventilators, BIPAP/CPAP machines, and perform routine EKGs.
  • Assess patient needs, adjust treatment plans, and document clinical procedures accurately.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and modify patient care plans.
  • Maintain compliance with facility policies and state regulations while providing exceptional patient care.
