If you’ve spent years in construction, lumber and building materials, contractor sales, estimating, or a related field, you already know contractors need more than someone who can take an order.

They need someone who understands the project, knows the products, catches details before they become problems, and follows through.

Wood Shed Lumber & Hardware Supply is looking for an experienced Contractor & Builder Sales Specialist to build lasting relationships with contractors, builders, and remodelers in our market.

We are looking for someone who understands the building industry and wants a long-term career where experience, relationships, and good judgment matter.

What You’ll Do

• Build and strengthen relationships with contractors, builders, remodelers, and other professional customers
• Meet with customers and visit job sites to discuss current and upcoming projects
• Review plans, material lists, and project requirements
• Prepare or assist with material takeoffs and accurate project quotes
• Recommend lumber, building materials, hardware, and other products that fit the project
• Follow up on quotes, orders, deliveries, and customer questions
• Coordinate with inside sales, purchasing, yard, and delivery teams to keep projects moving
• Resolve problems promptly and keep customers informed
• Maintain customer, quote, and sales information
• Continually work to grow your customer base and sales

What We’re Looking For (candidates must have experience in one or more of the following):

• Lumber and building materials
• Contractor or outside sales
• Residential or light commercial construction
• Building material estimating or material takeoffs
• Construction project management
• Working with builders, remodelers, or professional contractors

You should be comfortable talking with experienced contractors about their projects, understanding what they are trying to accomplish, and helping determine the materials they need.

Experience reading plans, developing estimates, preparing quotes, or completing material takeoffs is strongly preferred.

• Can manage multiple customers and projects without constant supervision
• Communicates clearly and professionally

• Is organized, dependable, and uses good judgment
