Duties:
Contractor Commercial Manager will have responsibility for overseeing all day-to-day commercial and contractual aspects of the contract, ensuring compliance, cost control, and value delivery for both the client and company.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, invoices, and cost reporting to ensure accurate financial performance tracking.
- Prepare, price, and negotiate Contract variations and scope changes in accordance with State procedures.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks.
- Prepare commercial reports, performance summaries, and audit documentation as requested by the Operational Governance Committee or Contract Participating Entity.
- Ensure adherence to internal approvals and contribute to process and cost efficiency improvements.
- Lead recommendations and planning, procurement, and delivery of capital, refurbishment, and small construction projects: define scope, develop schedules, manage budgets, and ensure quality/closeout documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering (civil/mechanical/electrical), Construction Management, or related field.
- 5–8+ years’ progressive experience in public sector facilities management, construction/project management, or maintenance operations; experience with transportation/toll operations or government/public-sector assets preferred.
- Proven experience managing mobile maintenance teams and occupied/operational sites.
- Ownership mindset: demonstrated bias for action and accountability, comfortable making decisions, following through, and driving results in a 24/7 operational environment.
