Johnson Service Group is a nation-wide staffing company is looking for a Contracts Administrator II with 5–7 years of Progressive experience in contracts administration, including negotiation of commercial and government contracts. This is a Temp-Direct job for an Aircraft company in Oxnard, CA.

Pay Rate: $55.00 HR

SUMMARY
Responsible for intermediate administration of customer contracts to ensure contractual compliance, protection of company interests, and achievement of business objectives. Leads complex proposals and contract activities, supports negotiations and proposals, manages contract performance, and Collaborates with Business Development, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality and Operations to review and process quotations, contracts, customer support, and related documentation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Reviews, interprets, and responds to medium and large OEM’s quotations, purchase orders and contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and protection of the Company’s intellectual property and business interests.
  • Independently administers customer contracts and serves as the primary point of contact for contract-related matters, evaluating for escalation.
  • Monitors contract performance and provide status related to hardware delivery schedules, quality requirements, and other contractual obligations.
  • Prepares and transmits contract correspondence, data submittals, customer-required reports, and documentation.
  • Acts as the administrative liaison between customers and internal departments; chairs contract reviews and supports customer audits.
  • Maintains complete and accurate contract files, ensuring all orders, change orders, schedules, correspondence, data submittals, and other pertinent documents are retained through completion of all contractual obligations.
  • Prepares and submits company proposals and supporting data; Facilitates negotiations of contracts in accordance with management guidelines and established procedures; and prepares negotiation documentation and meeting minutes.
  • Reviews and processes customer requests for quotes (RFQs), collaborating with Finance to obtain cost estimates and with Business Development to maintain required profit and margin objectives.
  • Supports achievement of bookings targets and margin goals for assigned product lines.
  • Proactively manages customer scorecards, including on-time delivery and quality performance metrics.
  • Facilitates internal cross-functional meetings to review scorecard results, identify root causes of performance gaps, and drive corrective actions necessary to meet customer commitments.
  • Facilitates continuous improvement efforts by driving changes to internal processes and practices to improve delivery performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES FOR CONTRACT ADMINSTRATOR II
  • Collaborate with Contracts, Business Development and Leadership to develop, maintain, and support accurate sales forecasts.
  • Assists in aligning contract execution, customer commitments, and delivery expectations with forecasted demand.
  • Provides contract-related insights and risk assessments to support planning and decision-making.

REQUIRED
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English, including analyzing and interpreting business publications, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as percentages, discounts, and other required related computations accurately.
  • 5–7 years of Progressive experience in contracts administration, including negotiation of commercial and government contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently administer customer contracts and purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision while managing multiple contracts and priorities
  • Strong working knowledge of order processing procedures, systems, and internal controls.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with customers and cross-functional internal teams.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees, including leading contract reviews and internal meetings.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Proficient with Oracle.
 
  • Experience negotiating both commercial and government contracts with increasing complexity and risk.
  • Experience reviewing and processing customer requests for quotes (RFQs), including collaboration with Finance and Business Development.
  • Aerospace industry experience, particularly in a manufacturing related environment

  • Ability to lead cross-functional discussions related to contract performance, customer scorecards, and corrective actions.

  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to balance customer needs and company objectives.
  • Continuous improvement orientation with a focus on improving contract execution, delivery performance, and compliance.
