Job Description

The Contracts Analyst supports the administration and execution of government contracts within the defense industry. This role assists the Program Management & Contracts Team with administering multiple contracts/programs across the entire life cycle, from proposal to final delivery and closeout. This role will support all stages of the lifecycle and may be responsible for tasks supporting multiple functional areas such as finance, supply chain, operations, engineering, and others as required. The responsibilities for this role are expected to evolve with the needs of each program and may offer opportunities for advancement.The ideal candidate for this position can juggle competing tasks with efficiency while maintaining exceptional organization. The candidate should be comfortable learning on the job and occasionally working with highly technical information. This role is best suited for candidates with a preference for significant variability in their day-to-day tasking.  Candidates are expected to have a high degree of initiative and follow-through.Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with contract lifecycle activities, including contract award, modifications, extensions, and closeout
  • Support review of RFPs, RFQs, statements of work (SOWs), and customer terms and conditions
  • Prepare routine contract documents, government forms, correspondence, and amendments
  • Maintain complete and accurate contract files in accordance with regulatory and company requirements
  • Track contract funding, periods of performance, deliverables, and reporting requirements
  • Monitor compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and internal policies and escalate issues as needed
  • Support internal and external customers, including Government officials and industry partners
  • Assist with audit support and data requests (e.g., DCAA, DCMA)
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and solutions for administrative management within the department.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Legal Studies, Contract Management, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in contracts administration, government contracting, compliance, or a related administrative role
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to or coursework in FAR/DFARS or government contracting
  • Experience in the aerospace, defense, or government services industry
  • Familiarity with contract management or document management systems
  • NCMA membership or interest in pursuing certification (CCCM, CFCM, CPCM)
  • Eligibility for or ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance
Work Environment & Compliance
  • May require access to controlled or sensitive information
  • Must comply with U.S. export control regulations (ITAR/EAR)
  • Limited travel may occasionally be required
