Position Location:

This position can be located in Reston, VA, Huntsville, AL, Anchorage, AK or San Diego, CA.

Relocation assistance is not available.

Job Overview:

The Contract Analyst is responsible for supporting the administration, maintenance, and data integrity of the organization’s Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate contract data entry, timely processing of agreements, and effective workflow management within the CLM platform. The analyst works closely with contracts, legal, supply chain, compliance, and operational teams to standardize contract records, improve system utilization, and enhance overall contract visibility and compliance.

 

The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 annually.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Duties:

  • Enter, review, and validate contract data and metadata in the CLM system to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Upload executed agreements and related documents into the CLM repository in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Maintain contract templates, clause libraries, and approval workflows within the CLM system under direction of management.
  • Monitor contract lifecycle stages, including execution, renewal, and expiration, ensuring deadlines and obligations are tracked and met.
  • Support internal users across departments with system navigation, troubleshooting, and general training.
  • Generate and distribute regular and ad hoc reports on contracts, KPIs, and system usage metrics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and data quality enhancements.
  • Coordinate with IT or system administrators on user access management, upgrades, and configuration changes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal requirements, and record retention standards.

Accountable For:

  • Data Accuracy: Maintain high-quality, error-free contract data and metadata in the CLM system.
  • Efficiency: Ensure timely entry and management of contract information to support business operations.
  • Compliance: Support adherence to company contracting policies, approval processes, and document governance standards.
  • User Experience: Provide responsive support to internal users to promote consistent and effective use of the CLM platform.
  • Reporting: Deliver accurate contract reports and dashboards to management for informed decision-making.
Job Requirements:

Mandatory:

  • Associates or BS/BA in a related field and related experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience in contracts administration, data management or similar roles.
  • Must have good analytical, strategic, and reasoning skills as well as the ability to provide innovative solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail with proven ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and basic reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with contract terminology, structures, and key risk indicators.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

Preferred:

  • Experience in Base Operations Support, Engineering Services and Construction contracting for the Department of Defense.
  • Knowledge of Small Business and 8(a) practices and policies.
  • Prior experience working with a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system (e.g., Oracle, Icertis, DocuSign CLM, Ironclad, Coupa, etc.) preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Work performed in an office environment.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with short "turn around" times and be able to multi-task.
  • Additional hours may be required on an as needed basis during weekdays, weekends, or holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work requires the ability to operate a computer and work in a standard office environment.
  • Communicate information in verbal and written form.
  • Read and review information and charts.
  • Perform analytical thinking skills, use sound judgement.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods of time and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
