Enhanced Public Job Description Contracts / Compliance Analyst Overview We are seeking a Contracts / Compliance Analyst to support contract administration and regulatory compliance activities for a large-scale State government technology modernization initiative. This role will work closely with program leadership, project teams, procurement personnel, legal stakeholders, and State representatives to ensure contractual obligations, reporting requirements, and compliance standards are effectively managed throughout the lifecycle of the program. The ideal candidate will possess experience supporting government contracts, public sector programs, compliance initiatives, or large-scale technology engagements requiring strong documentation and regulatory oversight. Responsibilities
Review and track contract deliverables, terms, obligations, and compliance requirements
Support preparation of compliance documentation, reporting packages, and required program artifacts
Monitor adherence to State procurement policies, contracting regulations, and program governance requirements
Coordinate with legal, procurement, compliance, and project leadership teams regarding contract-related matters
Maintain contract repositories, compliance records, audit documentation, and supporting artifacts
Track contractual milestones, deliverables, reporting deadlines, and action items
Assist with contract modifications, amendments, and change documentation
Support internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and program assessments
Identify and escalate potential compliance risks and contractual issues
Ensure project documentation remains accurate, current, and audit-ready throughout the engagement
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in contracts administration, compliance, procurement support, contract management, or related functions
Familiarity with government contracting environments and compliance processes
Knowledge of contract lifecycle management and deliverable tracking practices
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
Experience preparing and maintaining compliance-related documentation and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
State government experience
Public sector consulting experience
Experience supporting large-scale IT programs
Familiarity with State procurement regulations and compliance requirements
Experience supporting government audits and compliance reviews
Knowledge of vendor management and contract administration processes
Experience working within highly regulated environments
Work Environment
Chicago, IL
Primarily remote
Approximately 40 onsite days annually
Full-time dedication to the program required
