The TES Contracts team is looking for a detail-oriented Contracts Manager to support growing and fast paced business lines in Real Estate and Construction, and provide support across the growing Pre-Construction and Construction teams. General responsibilities will include identifying and implementing process improvements, as well as reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, evaluation agreements, support agreements, prime agreements, and design and construction agreements. The successful candidate will work efficiently and independently, manage a high volume of projects with little guidance and proactively implement mechanisms that streamline repetitive tasks. The candidate will also have great attention to detail while still meeting tight deadlines. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about construction and real estate, and enjoys being continually challenged.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Provide and oversee the day-to-day contract administration support for standardized construction contracts, NDAs, services agreements, statements of work/work orders, proposals and other contract documentation.

  2. Prepare work orders, work authorization letters, and other contract and process documentation in accordance with industry best practices and corporate risk policies, within the limits of authority delegated by management.

  3. Ensure appropriate documentation is acquired and entered into corporate databases in a timely manner; conduct analyses and compile reports as required.

  4. Review invoices for compliance with contract terms and conditions.

  5. Assist with contract audits.

  6. Processing and tracking purchase orders

  7. Build and maintain relationships with internal customers and vendors.

  8. Negotiate terms and conditions of and prepare nondisclosure agreements, agreements and/or contracts in accordance with industry best practices and corporate risk policies, within the limits of authority delegated by management.

  9. Provide subject matter expertise to management on contracting-related issues, from pre-award through post-award administration and closeout.

  10. Ensure compliance with corporate policies and contracting practices as well as Federal, state, and local law by reviewing existing and new regulations; anticipating regulations; enforcing adherence to regulations; and advising management on requirements.

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
