Company Overview

Our client is a well-established aerospace and defense manufacturing organization specializing in highly engineered products and systems supporting military and commercial applications. They are seeking a Contract Administration Manager to oversee customer contracts, ensure compliance, and support business operations across complex government and commercial programs.

Position Summary

The Contract Administration Manager will lead all aspects of contract administration and compliance for aerospace and defense programs. This individual will work closely with executive leadership, sales, operations, finance, and legal teams to manage customer contracts from proposal through closeout. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of government contracting, contract negotiations, FAR/DFARS regulations, and aerospace manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of government and commercial contracts, including review, negotiation, execution, modifications, and closeout.
Interpret and administer contracts in compliance with FAR, DFARS, and company policies.
Serve as the primary point of contact for contractual matters with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Review RFQs, RFPs, purchase orders, NDAs, teaming agreements, and long-term agreements.
Identify contractual risks and work with leadership to develop mitigation strategies.
Support proposal development, pricing reviews, and negotiations for new business opportunities.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, delivery requirements, reporting, and documentation standards.
Partner with finance and program management teams regarding billing, funding, and contract performance issues.
Lead and mentor contract administration personnel as the department grows.
Maintain accurate contract records and support audits or customer reviews as needed.

Qualifications
Bachelor"s degree in Business, Contracts Management, Legal Studies, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
5+ years of contract administration experience within aerospace, defense, military, or manufacturing environments.
Strong understanding of FAR, DFARS, government contracting, and compliance requirements.
Experience negotiating customer and subcontractor agreements.
Ability to read and interpret complex contractual language and technical documentation.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Experience with ERP systems and contract management software is a plus.
Preferred Experience
Aerospace or defense manufacturing background.
Experience supporting DoD contracts and military programs.
Familiarity with ITAR and export compliance requirements.
Management or supervisory experience.



5+ years of contract administration or contracts management experience within aerospace, defense, government contracting, or manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and government contract compliance requirements.
Experience negotiating and managing commercial and government contracts, subcontracts, RFQs, RFPs, and long-term agreements.
Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, operations, engineering, finance, and executive leadership.
