About the Team
You will join the Transport Delivery team within the Transport & Highways service area, part of the wider Communities Group. The team plays a vital role in delivering home-to-school transport and supporting local bus services, working closely with operators, schools, colleagues, and partners to meet the needs of residents across Warwickshire.
The Contracts & Compliance function supports this work by ensuring strong financial control, accurate data, and effective contract management.
About the Role
As a Contracts Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of transport services through accurate processing, financial administration, and contract management activities.
You will be responsible for processing payments to operators and parents, including cyclical invoices and travel payments, as well as raising purchase orders and maintaining supplier records using the Agresso finance system.
Working closely with colleagues across Transport Delivery, you will help ensure the accuracy of contract information, student data, and financial records. You will also support the management of the Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), including publishing tenders and assisting with procurement activity.
This role requires strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. You will also act as a key point of contact for queries, maintaining positive working relationships with suppliers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
