This individual will serve as a key resource ensuring compliance with federal regulations and supporting operational and strategic objectives in a highly regulated environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional who can operate both strategically and tactically—partnering cross-functionally to manage contract risk, drive procurement efficiencies, and support audit readiness.

  • Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks
  • Partner with legal counsel on complex agreements and dispute resolution
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and Defense Industrial Base (DIB) requirements

Procurement & Purchasing

  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes for goods, services, and subcontracted work
  • Source, evaluate, and onboard vendors based on cost, quality, and performance

  • Ensure purchasing aligns with budgets and organizational policies

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Establish and enhance procurement and contract management procedures and controls
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations and cybersecurity standards (CMMC, NIST SP 800-171)
  • Support audit readiness and reporting related to procurement and contracts
  • Track procurement metrics, spend analytics, and vendor performance

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with Operations, Legal, Finance, Engineering, and Leadership teams
  • Support RFPs, bid packages, scope reviews, and vendor selection processes
  • Provide guidance on procurement best practices and contractual obligations
  • Present contract and procurement insights to leadership, including risk exposure and readiness reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, contracts administration, or supply chain management
  • Strong experience managing vendor and subcontractor agreements in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of contract negotiation and risk management
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement/accounting systems

Preferred Experience
