Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group has partnered with a healthcare technology company to find a part-time Contracts Specialist.  As the Contracts Specialist, you will be responsible for review, redline, negotiation support and administration of commercial contracts to include overall contract review and redlining, risk identification and ability to see issues, contract lifecycle management, process and documentation over cross functional collaboration. You will report to the Chief of Staff and work closely with the CEO.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of relative experience in an enterprise software company supporting a sales team, is able to work independently and has a strong sense of urgency to help the business move quickly. 


Responsibilities:
  • Lead the review, redlining, and negotiation of commercial agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and SaaS/vendor contracts.
  • Identify and flag key risks in liability, indemnification, and IP, ensuring all terms align with company playbooks and risk tolerances.
  • Translate complex legal concepts into actionable business advice, summarizing trade-offs for leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Manage the end-to-end contracting process, from initial intake and version control to execution and obligation tracking.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations to resolve bottlenecks and ensure timely deal execution.
  • Maintain and improve contract templates, clause libraries, and negotiation playbooks to streamline internal workflows.


Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Contracts Specialist (or similar role) for an enterprise software company
  • Experience supporting a sales team in a growth-stage or technology-enabled company
  • Experience working with SaaS, technology, or services agreements
  • Proficient in MS Office and contract lifecycle management tools.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing and redlining commercial contracts
  • Paralegal certification or equivalent experience is a plus (please note this is not a legal counsel role)
