Contracts Specialist

Sparks Group has partnered with a local government contractor to seek a highly skilled and results-oriented Contracts Specialist to join a collaborative team issuing important solicitations, proposals and highly visible contracts for the organization. The Contracts Analyst serves as a key role in managing the negotiation, analysis and administration of contracts supporting procurement efforts. Key Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate government contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, and teaming agreements with agencies, primes, and vendors
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations (FAR/DFARS), contract terms, and flow-down requirements across all agreements
• Support proposal development, including price analysis, cost estimates, and sole source justifications
• Monitor contract performance, budgets, burn rates, and deliverables in collaboration with project managers and finance teams
• Maintain accurate contract records, support audits, and provide regular status updates to leadership

Key Requirements

• 2–3+ years of experience in federal contract administration or government contracting
• Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and various contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost-Plus)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (Secret preferred); U.S. citizenship required
