Compensation: $62,000 - $90,000 annually
Join a team supporting critical high-voltage power infrastructure as a Control Center Technician. We are seeking an experienced Control Center Technician, for a substation in Tracy, CA, to perform maintenance, testing, inspections, and emergency response activities at a utility-scale substation facility.
Responsibilities of Control Center Technician:
- Perform routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of substation equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair transformers, circuit breakers, switches, and related systems.
- Coordinate switching activities and support grid reliability initiatives.
- Maintain compliance documentation and safety records.
- Respond to equipment alarms, outages, and emergency situations.
- Support contractors and specialized service providers during maintenance activities.
Qualifications of Control Center Technician:
- 3-5 years of experience in high-voltage substations, utility operations, or renewable energy facilities.
- Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance and diagnostic testing practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- OSHA, NFPA 70E, CPR, and First Aid certifications are preferred.
