Own controls strategy, architecture, standards, and system requirements for major capital projects.
Design line-level controls solutions that coordinate equipment across multiple OEM platforms.
Develop system specifications covering network design, safety architecture, interlocks, sequencing logic, SCADA, and MES requirements.
Coordinate OEM and integrator work to ensure programming, documentation, and hardware meet Leprino standards.
Review, approve, and guide PLC and HMI development.
Lead FAT and SAT activities, validate system performance, and drive corrective actions.
Provide technical leadership during equipment installation, startup, and commissioning.
Troubleshoot system-level issues and tune automation performance.
Advise plant and project teams on controls strategy, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
Support project planning, scope definition, timelines, and risk assessments.
Help identify potential scope or budget impacts early in the project.
Contribute to company-wide standards for controls engineering, safety systems, instrumentation, and industrial networking.
Must Haves
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
4+ years of PLC/SCADA integration experience.
Experience with ControlLogix programming and/or Wonderware System Platform, InTouch, or related tools.
Experience leading the controls scope on capital projects.
Experience with vendor coordination and system-level controls design.
Strong understanding of industrial networking, safety systems, instrumentation, and line integration.
Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically.
