As a key contributor on our operations team, you’ll wire control circuits, assemble Trillium models as needed, and verify product performance through end-of-line testing and troubleshooting. What you’ll do

  • Assemble and wire equipment to machine, mechanical, and electrical specifications.
  • Read and interpret electrical/electronic schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Use test instruments (e.g., multimeters) to validate function and diagnose issues.
  • Troubleshoot logic controls and evaporative cooling tower components.
  • Operate safely at heights in line with OSHA general industry requirements; use approved fall protection.
  • Flex between workstations and production lines to meet demand.

Must-have qualifications

  • Experience with 3-phase wiring for motors, motor controls, transformers, and PLC interfaces; plus 1-phase 120Vac and 24Vdc control circuits, switches, sensors, and transmitters.
  • Ability to interpret electrical wiring diagrams with precision and speed.
  • Minimum 2 years in motors/controls maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on wiring experience.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Strong quality mindset, safety focus, and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate computer skills; able to complete departmental paperwork and reports.

Nice to have

  • PLC programming experience.
  • Hi-Pot (dielectric) testing familiarity.

  • Reporting line: Team Leader, BAC Dayton assembly line.
  • Collaboration: Close coordination with other departments on-site.
  • Schedule: Ability to work any of three shifts in a 24-hour operation; some travel may be required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Standing is to be expected up to 80% of the time. Additional activities include walking, reaching, bending, stooping, and sitting. Fine hand manipulation of controls is needed

as well as hand eye coordination to perform changes. Working hours can include any of three shifts and generally are scheduled for forty hours a week. Longer than 8 hour days and some weekend overtime is to be expected to adequately support production requirements and company initiatives. Working temperatures include both wide fluctuations within the plant as well as ambient outside temperatures.
