We have multiple openings for experienced wiring specialists to build and wire our electrical control equipment in Garland, TX. In this role, you will wire, assemble, fit, and mount sub-assemblies, components, and fixed assemblies for high-quality control panels, switchboards, switchgear, and ATS units. Every task is performed to exacting standards for quality and throughput.

You begin with drawings and wiring diagrams in hand. You lay out panels; measure, drill, and tap; mount devices; and then route and terminate conductors with precision. You’ll wire PLCs and power meters, integrate breakers, relays, contactors, transformers, indicator lights, and SPDs, and assemble switchboard and ATS equipment. Throughout the day, you verify your work against specifications and codes, test for conformance, and flag any part shortages or blockers to keep jobs moving.

What you will do

  • Inspect and test finished products to meet specifications and applicable codes; uphold strict quality standards.
  • Maintain progress on scheduled jobs, communicating parts shortages or issues promptly.
  • Exhibit strong teamwork, maintain a positive, team-based attitude, and support peers during high demand, including working assigned hours and overtime as required. Adhere to start/stop times and break periods.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What you bring

  • Minimum 3 years in electrical equipment manufacturing and assembly (panelboards/switchboards preferred), including wiring power meters and controls.
  • Expertise reading wiring schematics and point-to-point diagrams.
  • Hands-on experience wiring industrial control panels (UL508A experience preferred).
  • Ability to build panels from start to finish: measure, drill, tap, and layout.
  • Capable of wiring directly from electrical drawings.
  • Comfort working with breakers, relays, contactors, transformers, lights, SPDs, and other electronic components.
