Controls Specialist - Louisville, KY - Nights (5 PM to 5 AM)
OVERVIEW:
Performs repairs and modifications to existing equipment. Repairs may require multiple trades (i.e., mechanical, electrical, plumbing). Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facility. Perform troubleshooting on equipment. Perform new equipment installation. Perform proper lubrication of equipment. Perform work following Maintenance for Food Safety Program and Good Manufacturing Practices. Adhere to all company policies and Programs.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Repair of plant equipment and property
Maintain plant equipment and property
Maintain project work
Complete Preventive Maintenance (PM’s) of equipment
Any other work assigned as necessary
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Minimum of 2 years documented experience in industrial maintenance or completion of a maintenance apprenticeship program
Must be able to work with the Maintenance Manager on equipment updates, concepts and projects
Able to work on projects from concept, design, material list/ordering and implementation.
Must be able to document the project when needed (electrical, layout, operation, etc..)
Must be willing to work off hours and days to complete projects if needed or to meet timeline
Must be able to build electrical panels based off concepts agreed upon with maintenance manager
Must understand electrical drawings, ladder programming, and the correlation between them
Must understand electrical components (switches, photo eyes, proximity switches, NPN, PNP, NC, NO, sinking, sourcing, digital and analog)
Must be able to work with Vendors and Contractors
Working knowledge of industrial mechanics (power transmission, hydraulic, and pneumatics)
Working knowledge of industrial electricity
Ability to do assigned work efficiently and independently
Ability to work without a supervisor and be self-directed
Ability to clearly communicate with production and support personnel
Must be willing to help train new mechanics.
Must pass a maintenance aptitude test
Must be able to perform all duties as assigned in the written work instructions
Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds
INTERACTIONS:
Will report to a Maintenance Supervisor.
Must be able to develop working relationships with all co-workers.
May interact with outside vendors and contractors.
