As part of HDR's Building Engineering Services Group, you'll help design the critical infrastructure that supports the digital age and shapes spaces where people work, connect, and thrive. Your work will directly support technological advancement, sustainability, and human experience.In the role of Control Systems EIT/Designer, we'll count on you to:Participate in the design of complex supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systemsAssist with selection and specification of process instrumentation, control panels, and network equipmentAssist with development of biddable and technically accurate instrumentation and control system construction documentsAssist with the development of software applications for automation such as programmable logic controller (PLC) and human machine interface (HMI)Assist with system testing and commissioning activitiesPerform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and proceduresComplete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variablesWork independently on small projects, or assist more‑senior engineers on larger projectsGive direction to clerical and technical personnelPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringCandidates without their EIT will be called a Control Systems Designer and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progressionRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must.LocationUnited States – Montana – BillingsScheduleFull‑timeEmployee StatusRegularAt HDR, we are committed to the principles of employment equity.
